Foot, Hand and Facial Reflexology Treatments

ABOUT REFLEXOLOGY

Important: I have additional training to help meet the needs of fertility and maternity reflexology clients.
Please let me know if you are interested in this!

Description of Treatment:
I can offer reflexology of the feet, face and hands. When you have a treatment I will ask you to fill out a form (online, over the phone or in person) which includes a medical history. This information will be kept confidential. Getting this information helps ensure the treatment is tailored and safe. I will give you options about your medium for the treatment e.g. essential oil blend or plain oil. The most clothing that will have to be removed for a treatment to take place will be your socks and shoes for foot reflex, or maybe your top for facial. I will then use my hands to apply pressure to the feet, lower legs, hands, face, neck or head. You may feel areas of transient discomfort during the treatment, but generally the experience should be relaxing. Reflexology is a touch therapy that is based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands and face correspond with different areas of the body. During your treatment I will work these points and areas. After the treatment, I will give you a chance to put your clothing back on, give you after care advice but also ask you for feedback on your treatment so that, if you wish to see me again, I can make it even more to your preferences.

Reflexology Benefits:
Reflexology is a gentle complementary therapy that can be effective in promoting deep relaxation and wellbeing. Some people find it reduces stress which can be key in optimising good health and building resilience. The current theory is that reflexology helps the body to restore its balance naturally. Clients might notice themselves sleeping better and find that their mood and sense of wellbeing improves. Benefits differ from client to client. Reflexologists do not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe. It is a treatment that is tailored to the whole individual, taking into consideration both physical and non-physical factors which impact on wellbeing. A massive benefit of reflexology is that it can be received by anyone of any age (from new-borns to end of life care)!
Please note, reflexology should not be used in place of conventional medical care. Always consult your GP or a health professional for medical attention and advice.
